SIGHT FISHING:
While your captain poles the boat across the flats, bonefish, tarpon, permit, jacks and sharks can be seen as potential targets. Gliding across these waters you will encounter an entire ecosystem at work. With sea-grasses, sponges, crabs, lobster and a host of small fish of various sizes and colors.
Polarized sunglasses (preferably with brown lenses) are a must for this type of fishing. If you wear prescription glasses, clip-on polarized glasses are available at most of the larger tackle shops in town. If not, we can provide you with a pair of sunglasses for use while on the water with us if you have left your favorite pair at home.
This type of fishing is also the most demanding for angler and guide alike, as it involves 100 % concentration for both in order to be successful. It is real teamwork and it will take some time for the angler and guide to get used to each others techniques and fishing habits. This type of fishing is not for everyone and we at Florida Keys Anglers are very flexible when it comes to changing to a different way to catch fish, if this type of fishing is not working out. After all, we are interested in making your day a great one!
