Saltwater fly fishing combines the need for fish sighting ability and pinpoint casting skills. Freshwater anglers must adjust their casting skills and will need to master the double-haul in order to propel their fly accurately up to 60 feet away while compensating for a sometimes pesky breeze. Heavier weight rods ranging from 9-12 Wt. with their corresponding heavier reels, are necessary and can be provided by FKA. Anglers who are hungry for a challenge and are interested in learning a different approach to saltwater fishing can have a wonderful day on the water with us. Our captains are avid fly fishermen themselves and are willing to work with any angler to improve their skills if so desired. Flycasting lessons are available for a minimal extra charge.
